All (5) supermarkets of the Dutch based Van den Tweel Groep in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, locally known as “Van den Tweel Supermarket”, “Ling & Sons IGA Supercenter” and “Warehouse Bonaire” have been acquired by Alfabet Holdings Inc, an investment group that is led by Caribbean businessman Gassan Azan, owner of -among other things- the well-known Jamaican hypermarket chain known as MegaMart. The supermarkets in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are known for their quality and product range. The supermarkets in Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao will continue to operate under their current brand names and with the same employees, management and excellent product range, including the Albert Heijn products.
Van den Tweel Groep CEO Mr. Gerard van den Tweel (Nijkerk, the Netherlands) will continue as lead advisor to the supermarkets in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao for the coming years.
